| Container Drop-Off
Program
The new Container Drop-Off Program allows residents to rent a 6
or 12-cubic yard container to dispose of yard waste, without having
to worry about bundling branches or packing yard waste into bags.
Other items that are included in the Container Drop-Off Program
are:
- Household Items – furniture, clothes,
broken toys, cooking utensils, rags, large clean-outs or items
left from a move-out, etc.
- Construction Debris from do-it-yourself home
projects ONLY – drywall, tiles, linoleum, insulation, aluminum
siding, paneling, windows, roofing materials, doors, etc.
* Contractors must remove their own debris.
- Yard Waste – branches, hedge trimmings,
weeds (NO POISON IVY), plants, mulch, straw, leaves, lumber, earth,
wood, etc.
- Railroad Ties and/or Stumps.
- Stones – rocks, bricks, cement, concrete,
etc.
The containers are available by appointment only. Reservations
should be made at least five (5) days in advance.
The Container Drop-Off Program works on a first come, first serve
basis, therefore residents may want to schedule a container as early
as possible. Containers may be reserved Monday through Friday. Residents
who rent a container to be delivered on a Monday through Thursday
will have it overnight. Residents who schedule to have a container
delivered on a Friday will have it until the following Monday. Containers
are dropped off and collected between 7am and noon.
The costs for this service are:
- $50.00 for a 6 yard container
- $100.00 for a 12 yard container
- Prices for railroad ties and stumps will vary because they
are more costly to dispose of. For more information, please contact
the Service Department.
