Emergency Fleet
Our emergency fleet consists of two rescue squads, two fire engines, and one 70' ladder truck. We participate on several special regional teams including the Hillcrest technical rescue team, the Fire Investigation Unit, Hillcrest Fire Training Officers and Rapid intervention team group.
Duties
The Fire Department inspects each commercial facility located in Pepper Pike annually. We also are responsible for plans review of any new construction or renovations to ensure proper fire code and safety compliance. We also provide services such as installation of child car seats, and provide on-site educational tours for children.
The Fire Department also manages the City's Municipal Emergency Response Corps (MERC) team and is responsible for the operation of our Point of Dispensing (POD) clinic. Additionally, we offer a free training course to our residents who receive certification in CPR/AED, Basic 1st Aid and in-home disaster preparedness.
