Dr. Cathy Hwang is an oculofacial plastic surgeon and is a nationally and internationally-recognized teacher, lecturer, and writer. Prior to moving to Pepper Pike in 2016, she was a faculty member at University of California, Los Angeles and worked in private practice in Beverly Hills. She also devoted time to serve American veterans at the West Los Angeles Veterans Administration. Her education includes undergraduate studies at Emory University in her hometown of Atlanta, medical school and residency at The University of Pennsylvania, and fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles.
Cathy enjoys exercising and outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, running, and yoga. She enjoys travelling with her husband, a longtime resident of Pepper Pike and the greater Cleveland area. Their three children attended Orange Schools which gave and continue to provide a lifetime of education.
Cathy is excited to be one of your newest Council members and wants to listen to your concerns and ideas to improve communication and transparency with residents. She will be serving on the Road, Infrastructure, and Safety Committee and hopes to help Pepper Pike continue to be a beautiful and beloved City for all of its residents.
